Right To Abortion: US Supreme Court abolishes the right to abortion
The US Supreme Court, giving a big decision on Friday, abolished the right to abortion.
Under this law, American women had the right to make their own decision to have an abortion or not.
With this, the court overturned the historic "Row We Wed" decision of almost 50 years old, 1973,
Which ensured women's right to abortion and said that individual states can allow or prohibit the procedure on their own.
The court's decision came in the decisive case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization,
In which Mississippi's last abortion clinic protested the state's efforts to ban abortion after 15 weeks and reverse the row in the process.
The majority opinion, written by Justice Samuel Alito, held that abortion is a deeply moral issue on which the American people hold conflicting views.
We believe that Roe and Casey should be dismissed. The constitution does not prohibit citizens of each state from regulating or prohibiting abortion.
