‘Magpie Murders’ Review: A Welcome Twist on the Cozy Crime Drama
An interesting English town. Wrongdoing: Murder generally foul.
Criminal investigator: Perhaps a cerebrum untouchable, or perhaps an unarmed mindful neighborhood.
Any PBS watcher who's in the mood for shining diversion by Agatha Christie Marple,
Father Brown, Grantchester or one of the apparently incalculable other series knows the configuration.
It's easygoing and unsurprising and somewhat steep, which is the reason the new series Jaybird Murders is such a lot of tomfoolery.
The six-episode series, which debuts October 16,
Keenly rises above the class with story-inside story design that offers another contort on the exemplary investigator story.
